Job Aid ​

The image is a job aid designed for teachers at Century School. It is a grading system used when assessing students in academics. The job aid provides an example of properly documenting the given score and where to initial when filling out academic plans. The job aid was created on the Affinity Photo app.

Mayer’s Research-Based Multimedia Design Principles influenced the creation of the job aid. The Multimedia Principle of presenting words & graphics combined was implemented to increase connections. The Segmenting Principle was evident in sequencing the lowest to highest scores to show the learning process. “…it is necessary to break the lesson down into manageable parts..so the learner can organize the material cognitively, and be properly primed to process new knowledge” (Martin & Betrus, 2020).
